Phat Man Dee is an old-fashioned jazz torch singer with a number of new twists. She sings & duets her original compositions and eclectic repertoire of standards in English, Spanish, French, German, Hebrew and more! Her performance range is just as wide, spanning opera, theater, blues to filk, from opera to indie, Mandee’s range is nothing short of breathtaking.
Voted Number One in the Pittsburgh City Paper's Readers' Poll of 2016, Phat Man Dee is thrilled to perform with members of her jazz band, "The Cultural District" at the Dollar Bank Three Rivers Arts Festival! Mandee works with the hottest jazz cats in town and can't wait to sing to you and your family at Point State Park!
She is available for bookings with her band at private events, clubs and festivals. She has four CDs available for sale online and at performances. She is currently recording two new CDs--one with Liz Berlin called Social Justice Disco and another with her fellow faculty at the Afro-American Music Institute where she teaches voice to youth during the school year. Phat Man Dee would like to thank all festival attendees for supporting the arts and live music in Pittsburgh, PA!
