Diane creates her jewelry from porcelain, stoneware, and terracotta clay. She rolls the clay out by hand, then textures and cuts it into shapes. Each piece is layered with a variety of different glazes, then kiln-fired as many as four times. Many pieces are edged with 24K gold or platinum which is applied before the fourth firing. After the firing process is complete, many pieces are embellished with beads using various beading techniques. All earring findings are nickel-free (sterling silver or 14k gold filled).
