A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "At the core of my practice is a desire to contribute art that will integrate naturally into the built environment and people's everyday lives. I take a holistic approach to fabrication that often starts with hand cutting paper and is followed by experimenting with ways to give it longevity and durability. This can mean fortifying the paper with resin coating or acrylic backing, or carrying the concept to a different medium entirely. As a multi-disciplinary artist, I have the freedom to experiment with techniques and tools. I believe that the best art comes from moments when thoughtfulness and skillful making intersect, so I try to pursue both in equal measures."
