A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "Beastie Boxes are fun & functional wooden boxes, 100% handmade by a single artisan in a basement woodshop in Cleveland, OH. She uses traditional woodworking techniques such as cutting with saws, sanding, staining, and varnishing. Taking inspiration from animals, poplar and pine woods are cut and then tinted with oil-based stains. The stacking and layering of shapes allow the otherwise flat surfaces to come to life dimensionally."
