A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "Free hand canvas paintings. An attempt to visualize narration of the rich legacy of one of India's most ancient tribes, Warli, which speaks to us of the significance of human relationship with nature. It makes us think of being environmentally conscious and finding joy in the simple things of life. As a Warli artist I sees myself as the medium of transmitting this folklore - Warli art - to those who are not acquainted with the written word. These paintings narrate the story of Warli life. They are the mode of expression of the tribe and a medium to pass down tribal culture and history across generations. They show the harmony between human and nature and brings visual representation of lifestyle of Warli community."
