Three Rivers Clay Works

Dates

Friday, June 03 - Tuesday, June 07

A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "Our main focus is in creating alternative yet functional cone six ceramic vessels. Our main means of fabrication are slip casting and wheel throwing. We also employ various hand building techniques, such as creating slabs for platters, altering wheel thrown work and coil and pinch techniques when necessary. It's all about utilizing the technique best suited for the finished vessel. We primarily use a mid fire porcelain and stoneware clay body. We also make our own casting slip and glazes in house, and fire the work in an oxidized environment to cone 6 in our Skutt kiln."
