A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "With an endless variety of techniques & designs I make one of a kind pieces of wearable glass art. Using a flame working torch that runs on propane & oxygen at 2,500 degrees, I melt together clear borosilicate glass with different forms of colored glass. I also use other natural elements such as silver flake, copper wire and opals, which creates a galaxy like effect inside the pendant. For my implosion pendants I use stringers of glass, a very lite flame and draw intricate patterns on hollow bubbles. Once the piece is melted down the design is imploded into the clear glass giving it that 3D pop. After each piece is finished it is annealed in a kiln, slowly cooling down and preventing it from cracking."
