A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "All pottery work is hand made and is either wheel thrown or hand built. Care is taken to ensure that the pieces are unique and this is accomplished by altering the pieces. This is achieved by carving into and cutting of the clay, hand sculpting and shaping of the clay. Various pottery tools are used in the process. The color palette used is quite varied and is anywhere from vibrant to rustic in appearance. All of the glazes used are food safe and lead-free so that the pottery is both functional and decorative in its use. Many of the pieces have an organic feel about them. The pottery can best be described as usable art. "
