A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "My art style is meant to mimic the aesthetic of lino block print, and I achieve this effect by drawing in Photoshop. In Photoshop, I set up each image in layers; a painted sky background, then the dark layer of all solid objects, and then my mark-making over top. The dark layer is important because it acts like a backdrop that helps "outline" each layer of color "pop", giving my work the "glow", effect. Then my crosshatching or line making, over the top creates the traditional printmaking look. No filters or special brushes are used to create each piece."
