A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "I create 2D works on paper using a combination of ink, watercolor, and/or gauche to illustrate aspects of the natural world to which we, as humans, feel connected. I draw and paint these elements on high quality acid-free pH neutral 100% cotton paper. I use the natural environment as inspiration, from rocks, moss, and lichen, to weather patterns and the night sky, to create textures and evoke a sense of mystery alongside something as seemingly familiar and everyday as a flower. My goal with my artwork is to create works to which the individual can feel connected personally, but also add a colorful sense of whimsy and joy to the everyday."
