A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "I make lightweight statement macrame earrings for women who love unique and bold jewelry. I use cotton thread and brass hoops to make my earrings. I attach cotton thread to the brass hoops and make knots with the cotton thread. The art of making knots is called macrame. I mostly use square knots and double knots to make my macrame pieces. I leave a bit of fringe at the end of my earrings. I comb, iron, and trim the fringes, giving the earrings a luxuriant look. Since I use cotton to make my statement earrings, they are also lightweight and comfortable. I make my earrings for everyday wear, brunch with girlfriends, or dinner dates."
