A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "Our original artwork derived from life experiences. We hand draw the artwork and hand carve it on clay to combine it with our own poetry. We have many different collections combining our art and poetry. We have an ancient tree collection where we recognize trees that live to be 1,000+ yrs old, with our scientific sketches. A wildflower collection, with our scientific renditions of native wildflowers. New this year are my full poems on clay. I hand press my poetry into clay & hand carve my artwork to go with my poems. Some artwork we finish with found wood and other artwork we finish in our solid oak frames. Frames we handmake in a craftsman, mortise & tenon style. Each piece we make is original, hand made by us. Minimalist yet meaningful."
