Artist Statement on Material & Technique:
"I make paper-screened portraits using a process I developed that uses a combination of digital and analog technologies to make images of faces overlaid with textures to create unique portraits that are made in real-time and able to be physically held in less than 20 minutes.
I developed the process during the pandemic and used it to make the images I showcased as an emerging artist in 2022. During that festival I experimented with doing the process in the booth as an open studio concept. It worked.
And people seemed to really like it, especially children who intuitively got the concept and made it their own. I would love to do it again in 2024 and offer it as truly unique offering that is only available at the three rivers festival"
