Coltt Winter Lepley is an Appalachian folk singer-songwriter from Bedford, Pennsylvania, known for his literary storytelling, sharp humor, and unforgettable live performances. A published poet and folklorist, Coltt has spent years touring nearly 200 shows annually, building a cult-like following without releasing music to streaming platforms—until now.
His self-titled debut EP, Coltt Winter Lepley, was produced by Al Torrence at Music Garden Studios near Pittsburgh, with contributions from members of The Allegheny High and other Pittsburgh musicians. Blending traditional folk with vivid narratives of cowboys, sailors, preachers, and personal history, Coltt’s songs have drawn comparisons to John Prine and Townes Van Zandt while remaining entirely his own.
Having performed at Americanafest, SXSW, and numerous revered venues nationwide, Coltt is finally releasing one of Pennsylvania’s worst-kept secrets to the wider world.
