A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST ABOUT MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE: "I started C.S. Artistic Design in 2018 with the goal of producing hand crafted wooden works that are functional as well as artistic. Each piece is hand crafted using traditional tools (not laser cutters or cnc machines) with responsibly sourced local hard woods. My work ranges from everyday use kitchen utensils (ie Spoons, Spatulas, Cheese knifes), every day home Décor (ie bud vases, candle holders and stand, hanging plant stands, small tables), but my primary focus is on hand turned wood bowls and vases. My process in most cases starts with milling my own lumber from large logs and cutting them into workable pieces using a chain saw and bandsaw, then air drying the wood until it is workable."
