Artist Statement on Material & Technique: "I hand form my jewelry from porcelain, terracotta and stoneware clay. I roll the clay out, use objects such as fossils, leaves, fiber and found objects to create texture and then cut it into shapes. Each piece is layered with a variety of different glazes, then fired as many as four times. After the firing process is complete,many pieces are embellished with a variety of beads. All earring findings are nickel-free (sterling silver or 14k gold filled)"
